i would like to have a powered ON sensor for the SynologyDSM integration.
Currently, I think, there is no easy way to determine if the Synology is actually powered ON ?
Reason behind such a sensor would be the possibility to link a powersensor (like with the Powercalc integration) to that sensor and you can track the devices power with a virtual powersensor.
You should have multiple options to get that information, like ping, SNMP or scrape of login page just mention a few of the sensors that should be avaiable on the device itself.

Hadn’t thought of that to be honest. I was just stuck in thinking of a way to have it populated within the device card in HA.
