System monitor battery and charging sensors

I have installed system monitor add on integration to monitor HA host status. I am able to read processor load, temperature, battery and charging status. However occasionally battery readings drop by couple percentage and displays a float value with many floating digits and charging status becomes “unknown”. Even a reboot of HA does not restore the sensor readings.

After a long time (few days), the sensors start behaving normally and it is the same cycle once again.

Anybody seen such a behaviour or can provide any clues for a resolution ?

Did you try asking the author of the software in the GitHub repository you got this add-on from?

I assume they meant integration, not add-on, so the one that’s part of core.

I actually didn’t realize it provided battery percentage (pretty sure it didn’t used to, at least for my system); I’ve been using a command line sensor to get mine. Just enabled it and I notice the percentage is slightly different. Gonna see how they compare over time.
