Hello all wondering if anyone has some tablet recommendations for home assistant front end control. I currently have two amazon fire 7 tablets mounted to my walls by my main entrances but they just are not cutting it. I had to root them and get chrome installed to make them work but they crash all the time and are horribly slow. Looking for android tablets, relatively cheap if possible (as other then running a link to home assistant they wont be doing anything else), and my only real requirement would be they use a usb charger as I have a usb charger run to the locations behind the wall already. Any ideas? Thanks!

iPad mini 4 is a good choice but even back to iPad mini 2 is still workable.
iPad mini Original is next to useless now.
Check out the ONN tablets at Wal-Mart. Decent specs, decent value.
Are you using the mini 2? Looking to get a couple to place around the house.
My mini 2 is still working OK using Chrome at the moment but I would caution against buying any more mini 2’s. With all the progress I think it’s days are numbered. The mini 2 is only getting security updates now…stuck at iOS 12.x.x. The mini 4 is at the latest software so its going to be good for a long time.
