I use the home assistant to monitor some areas, and I need a tablet that accepts critical notifications even in silent mode.
Any full compatible tested device, please?
I tested Samsung and Huawei and don’t work.
Thank you!
Under my Android settings → Notifications → Do Not Disturb → Apps, I can add apps that can override the Do Not Disturb setting and there are other settings that can override too. Have you tried this?
This is working in my xiaomi phone but not in samsung or huawei tablet (tested)
Interesting… Sorry, I don’t have an android tablet to test - just phones.
Not necessary android
I don’t have any tablets - sorry.
I have a Lenovo and both do work.
Would it not depend on the skin that is used on Android?
You should go with one that have vanilla Android.
Samsung adds their own UI with extra features like other power saving options and these can be hard to setup and impossible to control from HA.
Some of the other manufacturers does this too, so check it before being.
Google have an Android One program, but if that is only for mobiles or it extends to tablets too I do not know.
Android One devices use a vanilla Android.
