I have a Tado setup with several TRVs and am about to embark on a Hass.io install.
Two of my radiators are in covers, that cause the TRVs some trouble correlating with room temp. (Tado does have a configurable offset, but using this is less than ideal since it’s needed only when the valve is open and so causes some “bouncing” in the control.)
I’d like to set them up to use a remote temperature sensor closer to where humans sit. Tado supports this, but only with their expensive and hard-wired thermostat.
So, finally, my question: is it possible and reasonable to use Hass to control the valve states directly, based on the sensed temperature from another device?
Hello there,
I’m also interested in this question. Specifically i have some Aqara sensors i’d like to us.
Did someone managed to control the valves in this way?
thank you
Is it not possible to write a script to adjust the offset every X minutes based on the external sensor? Or even by using the heat demand in %?
I know there are Api, but can they be used to set the offset?
