Tado: 'Returning Home'

Hi there,

I have presence detection using Tado, working well for ‘at home’ and ‘away’. The Tado app allows you to begin warming your house when it somehow detects you returning home…

Is there a way to access this state in HA so I can begin some other processes on that trigger too?

Yes, there is

@HugosDad Yes, just ckeck the sensor.friendlythermostatename_tado_mode for statechange fom HOME to AWAY or the other way round depending on what you want to achieve.
Any Tado thermostate will deliver that state in the above entity.

However since iOS 15 I notice that the Tado app does not track the home/away status properly every now and then. Opening the Tado app sometimes helps but not always. (Background location is enabled and location tracking is always allowed, might be some App issue in combination with iOS 15.x)

Sorry, perhaps not clear.
I have the integration, it reports when I’m ‘Home’ or ‘Away’… I’m wondering if I can set a ‘Returning Home’ state, as evidently Tado is monitoring, somehow, when I’m returning home so it can begin to warm the house!
