2 things here…

  1. Make sure your TaHoma Switch is updated along with your motors

  2. Do not connect the hub to HomeKit via the Apple Home app. If you did, remove the switch from HomeKit then you will be able to add them to Home Assistant via HomeKit Device.

Forgot to add. . . You cannot have RTS motors. RTS motors will not be HomeKit compatible. The TaHoma Switch will work with HomeKit but it depends on what motors you have connected to the Switch.

I have a TaHoma Switch (the latest model) which I can control using the TaHoma App (Android phone). I successfully integrated this into HA using the Overkiz integration, which supports Somfy TaHoma Switch hub, for the Europe model. Both work, and I have also integrated the TaHoma with Google Home so I have four ways to control the RTS blinds, including Somfy remotes.
All my Somfy IO devices work in HA using this integration too.

Hello Mattfam,

  1. I have io 50 motors so it should works. I have control it via somfy app in my iphone all works fine.
I dont know how to connect to HA,
if I go to configuration / add integration / somfy then I see this error

Aborted

The component is not configured. Please follow the documentation.
or should I use different integration ?

Try to use Overkiz - Home Assistant.

Hi
Is Tahoma Switch is in local mode in HA (vs Cloud mode) ?
I’d like to control Atlantic heater in local mode vs Cloud mode.
My Cozytouch gateway is cloud mode only…

Regards

I don’t have one yet, but it seems like if you use overkiz that it would be running locally Overkiz - Home Assistant

I am using Somfy Connectivity Kit for RTS Motors with the Overkiz extension. Does anyone know if i can decrease the delay by using the Somfy Tahoma Switch? The Somfy Connectivity Kit is Cloud based and if the Somfy Tahoma Switch can use everything locally. I hope for an improvement in this regards but i am not sure if it is worth the price.

Which delay? I don’t see a big delay between Cloud API and Local API to be honest, what kind of issues do you face?

For RTS you could look at GitHub - rstrouse/ESPSomfy-RTS: A controller for Somfy RTS shades and blinds as well.

I am using node red with the following automation flow: Shelly BLU Wall Switch > Shelly Dimmer Gen3 (Shelly & BTHome Integration) > Somfy Connectivity Kit (Overkiz Integration) > Somfy RTS Motor. This flow takes about 2 seconds on average. If i send a signal from the dashboard instead of the shelly wall switch it feels a little bit faster. What is the best practice to analyse this problem and find the bottleneck? Most of the time i read about Somfy Cloud based delay problems.
