When Tailscale is installed does it behave as a network adapter like normal? As in if I had two machines 1 being home assistant and another being an exit router could I point MQTT traffic from the exit node to the tailscale address and have the traffic routed back?
As far as I know I think that is how it would work…
I am building a (office) kegerator to communicate via MQTT over tailscale for telemetry from a remote site using a raspi. Its purposes is for learning and maintaining morale (volunteer effort for company) Home assistant would be the server. Can the remote devices that are on the lan side of the subnet router just use tailscaleip_of_homeassistant:1883 to transmit and receive?
