Tapo c225 & c310

Hi,
I’ve got two Tapo cameras, the C310 which is the one I’ve got for a few months and a new one, model c225.
I integrated the C310 with the Tapo integration and it was working fine even though I blocked the camera with firewall rules on my router and also dropped dns queries because I don’t want the camera to communicate outside my network.
Yesterday I integrated the C225. Both cameras were showing fine in Home Assistant.
I also added the C225 in the Tapo android app. Both were working in the app. But suddenly my C310 got disconnected and I had to restart it. And the same occurs every let’s say 30 minutes, it get’s disconnected. I though the problem had something to do with Home Assistant but I don’t think so.
BUT… if I connect home via vpn and use the android app tinyCAM to watch the video streams, it works.
So the cameras are online …
Before buying the C225, I was unable to access the C310 via the VPN (probably a restriction in the app). But I was able to access it via wifi so I believe that the application must broadcast and connects the camera if it is in the same subnet. If it isn’t it will try to connect via the Cloud.

Any idea someone ?

Thank you all.

Jo

I had no end of problems with a new c225 disconnecting late last year, but this was Tapo firmware (it would disconnected from the network and not reconnect if not used for a while). I returned/replaced it with the Tapo c220 which works very well.

However, I am not aware of of the c225 knocking the c310 offline.

Just bought myself c225, can you suggest which Integration are you using for it?

I’m using 'Tapo Cameras Contro’l (HACS):
