I am trying to add Tapo P125M (to HA using matter)
My system is a modem with eero mesh router.
To expand ports, I have added a TP-Link 5 port ethernet switch and plugged my HA Green into this switch (also used for other bridges such as Hue).
Hence my HA is on 5G.
I use windows for programming the HA green.
I easily added the P125M using the tapo app on my android phone (and the app is smart enough to offer me the option to select 2.4G to connect).
On HA, trying to add the P125M using Matter, the process wants me to switch my phone to 2.4G and enter the Matter device code.
As soon as I switch to 2.4G, HA seems to be disconnected and the Matter process hangs.
I have set IPv6 on HA to automatic. I have tried to force the eero to use only 2.4G (then HA does not connect) and have the eero share 2.4 & 6G networks.
Read many others who have issues with these plugs.
Is there a solution? Can Matter select 2.4G without disconnection a HA on 5G? (similar to the Tapo app)
Ideas? Thanks for any suggestions!
