I have a Tapo Smart plug P110 and I get the following error any ideas how to fix this
Connection error: Unsupported device 192.168.0.193 type SMART.TAPOPLUG with encrypt_scheme EncryptionScheme(is_support_https=False, encrypt_type=‘TPAP’, http_port=80, lv=2)
The device shows and works on both the TAPO APP and Alexa but HA is having issues

Did it work before?
Any recent updates you installed that may have changed functionality?
Yeah it was, for some reason or another it lost connection on the APP then I got it connected but HA will not connect to it
And while that was going on you updated the app by accident/intentional? 
The FAQ tell which button to flip in the newer app version to make HA working (again) for now
