Tapo plug error message

Hi
I have a Tapo Smart plug P110 and I get the following error any ideas how to fix this

Connection error: Unsupported device 192.168.0.193 type SMART.TAPOPLUG with encrypt_scheme EncryptionScheme(is_support_https=False, encrypt_type=‘TPAP’, http_port=80, lv=2)

The device shows and works on both the TAPO APP and Alexa but HA is having issues

Ta all

Did it work before?

Any recent updates you installed that may have changed functionality?

Yeah it was, for some reason or another it lost connection on the APP then I got it connected but HA will not connect to it

And while that was going on you updated the app by accident/intentional? :selfie:

The FAQ tell which button to flip in the newer app version to make HA working (again) for now

Q2: What should I do if my Kasa/Tapo devices can’t be integrated into third-party apps like Home Assistant?

A2: You can enable Third-Party Compatibility on Tapo App …

Turning third-party compatibility off and on again is not working unfortunately.

This was working so I guess something changed with the Tapo device to stop it working, but all other Tapo devices are continuing to work ok.

So whilst you say it is not supported, it was previously working.

If it helps, I get this when I try to reload:

responded with 403 to handshake1

If I try to reconfigure it gives the TPAP issue mentioned by the OP and turning third-party compatibility off and on makes no difference.

Is there perhaps some sort of cache somewhere that’s not registering the change made to third-party compatibility?
