Tapo Smart Hub H200 and C120 camera Integration

Hi all,

I am very new to HomeAssistant I am trying to integrate my TP-Link Tapo Smart Hub H200 and a C120 camera. Its asking for the hostname or ip address of my tp link device; where do I find this? I can’t see it in my Tapo app.

If I leave this blank, it returns “no devices found on the network” - my HomeAssistant is definitely on the same network subnet as my Tapo Smart Hub H200 and the C120 camera which leads me to think that these devices are not supported?

Hi Charles,

these devices are not yet supported, but may very well be in the near future. You can follow Tapo H200 Hub does not work with python-kasa · Issue #1149 · python-kasa/python-kasa · GitHub if you want to get notified when support for H200 is getting closer to be released.

In contrast to H200 which already has experimental support in the library used by homeassistant, support for cameras will likely take a bit longer to mature as no cameras have been supported by the library so far and it requires more work.

I’m sure that camera can work stand alone with HA. You well just be able to view the stream. But it well work.

some link’s to help you on you quest.

Hope it’s of help.

Just a quick update, the upcoming Home Assistant 2024.12 adds support for H200 and out-of-the-box support for cameras is coming soon, perhaps already for 2025.1.
