I think that the VS Code server and git should be installed on the Terminal & SSH official add-on. This would give native and local VS Code editor ability without using the web editor. Using git allows for version control and sync up to whatever repository the user chooses. This would be much more flexible than the current code server add on and much less clutter in the menu bar.
