Tesla Fleet API: Use streaming rather than polling

Hi

I’ve spent several hours over several days trying to get Tesla Fleet API working in my HA. I’ve not been successful yet but assuming that I do one day get it working I don’t really want to pay any more than I have to to use it.

I was wondering if there are any plans to use the streaming API provided by the Tesla API rather than polling.

It specifically says in the billing page that polling should not be used and I believe (but might be wrong) that this is what the intergation uses.

Streaming would also make the integration more responsive of course rather than having to wait for the next update.

Hi @Roaders,

I’d be curious about any streaming option as well. I managed to get my Fleet API working about a month ago following a combination of the steps outlined in this post:

and in this web page:

Seeing that I read somewhere that the fleetkey.cc hosting was being blocked, I opted to set up a CloudFlare hosted key as described in the first post.

As the costs for using the API with the HA integration were adding up quickly with my daily commutes, I’ve paused the polling in HA for now. All I’m really looking to do at some point is open and close my garage door as I approach or leave home with my Tesla.

Cheers.
