Can anyone help with these queries on the Tesla Integration.
I have a Tesla Powerwall and initially set up the HA Tesla integration using the Wi-Fi IP address, this is proving unreliable so I fitted an Ethernet cable, which produced another IP address, however the Ethernet connection has failed, but it has highlighted some problems and confusion with the integration. At present I have this on my configuration screen:
My questions are:
(1) How can I tell which of these integrations is connected to which IP address?
(2) The working integration shows the following on the devices page, but the status of each is blank;. If I select the entity ID and copy it into the Developer Page, I get a value so it looks to work, I am just unsure why the status is blank.
The IP address is for the Ethernet, however due to a Wi-Fi reboot, another address was allocated (I have since made is static), but there is no way to change the IP address. What do I have to do, delete the integration and start again?
(4) The faulty integration has no entities, is there a reason for this?
(5) Finally, the Tesla Powerwall connection is pretty poor (just read the various forums), and the Wi-Fi keeps dropping off. However, despite being unable to monitor the system using the local IP address, the HA integration still seems able to read it, often for many days before it too becomes unavailable. Does anyone know the reason why? I appreciate there is a Cellular connection, but HA does not have this address.
Hi, I have the same problem, the integration drops out everyday and I have to reconfigure with the password. I am using wifi and cannot put an ethernet cable in place at the moment
I have exactly the same issue as the first poster. I have my powerwall connected via Ethernet (with static IP address). I had previously had it connected by wifi (also with a static IP address) but this proved unreliable and found that I had to reinstall the Home Assistant powerwall installation every few days. In order to prevent the Wi-Fi connection from being used, I blocked it on my eero network and this improved reliability considerably but I still get the “too many retries” error on the wifi IP address occasionally (every 4-6 weeks) which should be impossible! I am going to try to configure the powerwall with an invalid wifi password so it can’t connect to the local network and see what happens. The mystery deepens!
Hi, I have the problem that I am not able to login to Tesla Powerwall Integration. I have a Telsa Powerwall 2. For IP adress i looked up in my FritzBox and PW is on the sticker on my Tesla Gateway. I tried the whole PW as well as the 5 last letters. Nothing is working. Is the IP Adress wrong? Wherefrom do I get the correct IP adress. Thank you for help!!
Have you tried accessing the Tesla Powerwall from your browser “https://192.168.0.XX/” this will give you access and let you test your password? In the end I deleted the wi-fi instance I had in Home Assistant and just used the ethernet connection, it didn’t work immediately, but has been stable since. The other way of checking your IP address is using “Fing”, the Tesla readout is interesting, it links both the wired and wireless addresses on one line.
Thank you for your answer.
I cannot connect directly via browser with the ip adress 192.168.178.101 (shown in fritzbox). Only when i use the wifi network from the gateway i can login. I will try to connect via ethernet. It seems to me that the gateway server is not running or listing on the ip adress above
