Hi everyone,
I’ve been building a native iOS companion app for Home Assistant called PM Smart, and I’d love some honest feedback before I submit to the App Store.
Why another app? The official companion is great, but I wanted a fully native SwiftUI interface with purpose-built controls, originally aimed at Vietnamese users (the UI is fully localized in Vietnamese, English also available). It’s not meant to replace the official app — just an alternative for people who prefer a different UI.
What it is:
- 100% native SwiftUI controls (toggles, sliders, sheets are all hand-built) — not a webview mirror of the dashboard. Only the camera view uses WKWebView + go2rtc.
- Custom control sheets for covers, rolling gates, robot vacuums, climate, media players, and a solar/energy dashboard.
- 18+ widgets, 9 Siri App Intents, push notifications, Music Assistant, multi-home profiles.
- Free, no ads, no in-app purchases.
What I’d like tested:
- General stability and connection reliability.
- The control sheets — do they behave correctly with your devices?
- Anything that feels wrong for real-world setups.

There’s also a “Try Demo” mode if you just want to look around without connecting a server.
This is a solo side project, so any bug reports or UX feedback are hugely appreciated. Thanks!
