Followed - to a T - the awesome directions here:

Where it says “You can now test your work ”, I followed the directions and the test was a success. The JSON results showed every device. BUT when I try to “set it up for use” by telling Alexa to Discover My Devices - it finds nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I followed this thread and it fixed everything:
To circle back on this - it sounds rather obvious but equally an odd quirk in Alexa/Lamdba
Although I am in Ireland and had the skill set up in English (UK), if I link the Alexa skill with a Lambda function that is created in Europe (Ireland) as suggested… it does not work… once I swapped over to US East (N. Virginia) everything now works.
I find this very odd - particularly because Amazon itself says here that you need to match the AWS region to the skill language… however it seems to have no…

Thanks a million for linking this here. I was having the same issue and switching to US east resolved it.
I also solved this issue by following the guideline here… Really thank you @gniknalu

Is there an easy way to transfer the function from Ireland to US East, or do I have to re-create it?
