Text instead of icon for MQTT Sensor

Hello

Sorry if this questions is answered before in the forum but I cant find the info.
Is there a way in the configuration to get the values for a MQTT Sensor visible as text instead of in an icon? My sensor displays uptime for an external system in the format: d.hh:mm:ss.

I guess that a template sensor could help here,
