Text Instructions (as Entity?) in Default Interface

I’m quite new to home assistant, but it’s a wonderful platform! I have a configuration which is fully-functional, but at this point I am wondering if there is an easy way to add a text-only element directly below the name/title in a group of elements in the standard UI. For example, I would like to include a message like “use this only under these circumstances” before critical elements like shutdown.

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have!

This is not currently possible, however, there is already a feature request to add a comment line, or sub header if you will underneath the title. Not sure how much traction it is getting, but this would definitely be a nice addition. I don’t have the link to that feature request, but you should look in the Feature Request portion of the forum and add your vote to that topic.

As a temporary work around, though not as clean, you could create a template sensor with that text as the first entity in that group.

Thanks for your reply! I cannot find any such feature request (I searched for a variety of terms: comment, header, title, subtitle, etc.), but if after brainstorming more search terms for that forum I don’t see it I will definitely add it myself.

I will try a sensor template and see what I can do. I’ve never tried to make an entity with a sentence of text, but I quickly learned text-wrapping was not an option with names/titles.

Thanks again!
