I made a working bender AI that can control your home and search the web, and has a “memory”. All while staying private if you want. it will auto swap if the internet goes down so you never lose control.

You can run it in a few different setups.

  • Hybrid. (online with offline failsafe)

    • The default setup
    • Uses online API’s.

  • Offline

    • Uses a Locally running AI model
    • Can still do the web search
    • Doesn’t need the failsafe

  • Always Online

    • No failsafe
    • like forcing a crap DRM.

The Failsafe is named “flexo”.

  • No memory
  • Home Assistant is set to handle commands first.
  • No web search obv.
  • A very simple prompt that should run pretty will on most things.

Bonus pics from when i was working the kinks out.
It was a little “too much” Bender, for when people are over but was hilarious.

Added piper voices for bonder. Low and high, medium didnt export properly so i have to remave that one. But they sound like bender enough that i made sure to restric the license for them as much as possible while still allowing for people to use them.

The pacing could be finetuned more but that’s an option you can change in the json file for the voice. .8 i felt was too fast, .85 is pretty close so i just used that as im lazy and didnt want to test a while bunch of different speeds
