"The device is already pairing with another controller"

Not sure what is going on here. Just setup a new instance of Home Assistant after being away for a year. It’s going well, but I am unable to add much and in the detected devices in Configuration > Integration, I see a new “Smafrt Bridge 2 via Homekit.” If I select the ‘configure’ button I get a message that “The device is already pairing with another controller
Abort pairing on all controllers, or try restarting the device, then continue to resume pairing.”

what is happening here? How do I stop the paring to try again, restart the device, or whatever it is needed me to do. I don’t fully understand what it is doing or what or where I need to do next.

Thanks.

I am going to go out on a limb and guess that “Smart Bridge 2” is a Lutron Caseta bridge. If that is the case, are you intentionally adding it to HA via homekit_controller? You might have better luck with the native HA integration.

That’s probably it. Still working my way through how all this works. How do I delete this / unpair, etc and start again to add it to the native HA integration?

I guess you could unplug the Lutron bridge and plug it back in. That should reset it. Or open the Home app to see if it was in the middle of pairing there. You should be able to remove it from there if it is paired or in the process of pairing.

You can use the native HA integration. Or perhaps you could push it through using homekit_controller after you have cleared it out. I never thought of doing it that way, but it might be easier than the native integration.
