The Easiest Method to Enable LAN/Developer Mode on Xiaomi Bulb

I’ve created a handy tool for managing Mi Home gadgets.
Here’s what it does in its first version:

  • Displays device info such as token, ip, and did.
  • Enables LAN mode for bulbs with a single click.
  • Executes commands effortlessly

Feel free to suggest new features! Let’s work together to make managing Mi Home gadgets even better.

The first candidate for the next enhancement is executing commands directly from plain input. For example, for LAN mode, it could be: "set_ps", ["cfg_lan_ctrl", "1"]. Let me know if this feature is needed or if you have any other ideas!

Version 1.1.0 is available!
Execute commands with ease and simplicity.

Excellent! Finally I can do it easily from my Macbook  Thank you!

Hi, I can connect to the light and see the LAN mode is set to off, but if I try set it to on it just turns back off immediately. My light is identified as a yeelink.light.ceil43.

I’ve also tried to do this with the miiocli Linux tool but that also errors when trying to set the LAN mode / developer mode to on even though I can send commands to the light from it.

Do you think the manufacturer has permanently disabled the ability to use this setting? If so I’ll not be happy as this was an expensive light that looked like it would be HA compatible when I bought it.

Cheers.
