The 'official' way

Putting it on the login page is silly. Usually I only ever log in once, then my browser remembers. If it is on the ligin page I’ll never find ut again. Surely it should be in the same area as where you create the snapshots?

LOL.

I usually prefer monty python quotes.

I think it would work better on the ONBOARDING page.

Since, when you install fresh, you have to go through the onboarding, and before you configure any settings, restore your snapshot.

OTOH you always get thos people whi think “I’ll skip that and do it later” - they need to be able to go back to it.

Since the whole project is sponsored by ubiquiti I would have guessed this was implemented the same way as with a unifi controller (on the login page the first time you start up the controller). That would make sense to me. And a second option can be a simple upload button on the snapshot page once logged in. And with that upload automatically refresh the snapshot list after upload is finished (since the key name of the project is automation, I wouldn’t want to press the refresh button myself :joy:)

Are you sure about that? I think that ubiquiti changed its mind some times ago

Actually I’m not sure…

Not sponsored anymore, ended ages ago

Hi, just my 2 cents worth is what I think, to go along with what ms_social is eluding to, is what's missing from the Snapshots interface is an "Upload Snapshot" option. The ability to download it to your whatever machine you are using to access it and store it wherever you want is great, but it does limit the ability to restore it without using Samba or such in order to put it in the proper directory on the HASS box.

Please do NOT format normal text as code.
The other way around. :joy:
