The Open Home Foundation merch store is here!

Yes, the day has finally arrived: the Open Home Foundation merch store is up and running! 🄳 While some of you have tracked it down already (and are wearing the T-shirts to prove it!), we wanted to share it officially with the whole community so no one misses the chance to get involved.

Show your support

In case you didn’t know, there are already several ways to support our fight for the principles of privacy, choice, and sustainability for smart homes: you can subscribe to Home Assistant Cloud, buy official hardware from our commercial partners, or contribute to an open source project.

The merch store adds another choice to the mix that’s fun and easy to access. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning, or have only recently discovered our mission and like what we stand for, the merch store is open to everyone!

Taking care of quality

We have offered merch before through on-demand services, but those platforms didn’t give us the control we wanted. Now we have our own store, we can select every item ourselves, check the quality (we’ve particularly enjoyed getting cozy in the hoodies this winter), and work with ethical manufacturers who share our commitment to sustainability.

And here’s the important part: after covering costs like production and fulfillment, your purchase contributes directly to our mission. You can see the breakdown of where your money goes on every product page.

What’s in store?

We’re starting with the essentials: hoodies, tees, polos, and accessories in a range of classic styles, colors, and designs – with exciting plans to expand both our products and categories over time. But for now there should be something for everyone: from understated logos to bold patterns that declare your advocacy loud and clear. One of our favorites is the ā€œOpen Homesā€ tee, where our in-house designer has captured our community’s strength – one foundation, many homes.

Over to you!

We’ve put a lot of thought and care into creating this first collection, and we can’t wait for you to check it out! You can browse our European or North American store depending on where you’re based: both have the full selection of swag, with local shipping for speed and convenience (and a lower carbon impact).

And remember… this is just the beginning. We already have lots of ideas for what’s next. But we want to hear from you too: what designs would you wear? What products or materials are you missing? Let us know and help us build a store the community really loves – in the open, of course.

I have ordered a blue-denim hoodie just after the release party in support of HA and must say it is a nice quality and colour.
Arrived in 4-5 days in the Netherlands shipped through Czech Republic I think (which notification I first moved/deleted to the spam box as no mention of sender) and delivered by GLS.
Would even be better if you had the same one without the hood just a vest.

Damn, that must be pretty old too :joy::joy:

Indeed, my bad ! Apologies if anyone was offended, I’ll edit it.
As the message was deleted couldn’t check back. Must have been Czech only or somewhere on the Balkan.

Nice!

But with the old store closed does that mean we lost our chance to buy all the old designs?

Anyway, looking forward to broadening of merchandise for other OHF projects like ESPHome, Music Assistant, and Sendspin as well!

Want to merch up to show support for all of Open Home Foundation’s projects!

So, more designs please, and items for more OHF projects to promote them all :pushpin: :tshirt: :billed_cap: :shorts:

We need mugs. :coffee:

Big mugs.

The European store is in Switzerland, right?
I didn’t see a way to switch from CHF to EUR, but fine enough.

What I wonder is if there any additional taxes involved when ā€œimportingā€ from Switzerland to the EU?

From the store’s ā€œAboutā€ page:

  • Our prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) because the foundation is based in Switzerland – this gives us the independence and stability to fight for our principles without compromise.
  • All products are shipped from our logistics partner’s warehouse in Plzeň, Czechia, for fast delivery across Europe.
Shipping from CZ means no import taxes in the EU

so China?????

Im not the kind of person that buys merch (sorry, Im just low stuff. I try to support in other ways). But I have to congratulate the OHF here on the eco credentials for these garments.

I don’t know much about the mentioned ones but just from looking it seems obvious that a lot of care and effort went into those. Pleas know that aspect is appreciated by those of us that care about the planet. Well done!

Czechia and China are 2 different countries. You can almost tell by the fact they’re spelled differently :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Thank you, for including a lot of options without text / logo only!

  1. I won’t buy in swiss francs; if it’s not in euro, then I’ll get it elsewhere (even AliExpress sells in euro)
  2. How about some practical stuff: branded screwdriver kit, branded multimeter, mouse /mechanical keyboard (or at least keycaps), …
  3. What’s the difference between merch and hardware? Why do they need separate stores?
  4. Like others have said: cups, jugs, … But maybe also indoor slippers (with a pocket for a tracker so you know where everyone is ) , stickers for on esp-devices (translucent ā€˜made for HA’ or something that doesn’t break the works with ha).

Why CHF, surely Europe should be Euros. CHF are very expensive to buy from UK.

@MissyQ do you plan to also add official Home Assistant branded hardware to the merch store as well someday?

i.e. Home Assistant Green, Home Assistent Connect ZBT-2, Home Assistent Connect ZWA-2, and the Home Assistent Voice Preview Edition?

Or would electronics risk beibg too much of a hassle with potential returns for repairs and such?

I wanted to support the project but I do not have a credit card,
