I am a new HA user. I have three Remotec ZXT-600 Z-Wave IR controllers working with three identical Fujitsu Heat Pumps. I invoked Thermostat Cards for each on the Dashboard. As far as I can tell their configuration is identical. However, one shows and enables setting of the temperature set points for heating and cooling, but the other two do not. The set point dots do not appear and the pointer remains as an arrow and not a finger. Any ideas about where I should look to try to resolve this issue? Currently I can only alter the set points for one of the three heat pumps.
I have tried creating duplicate cards from the one that works correctly, but the duplicates do not show set points. Al three devices were working fine previously on a Vera Plus Z-Wave network.
Have you tested moving each heat pump to the card that shows the set points to pinpoint the issue?
I have tried creating duplicate cards from the one that works correctly, but the duplicates do not show set points. Al three devices were working fine previously on a Vera Plus Z-Wave network.
I assume this is what I am describing, but thought it was worth asking.
Do all the attributes across the three heat pumps match in Developer Tools?
The attributes listed in Developer Tools, States, appeared to be the same (apart from some additional fan modes). I tried Re-interviewing the Z-Wave devices, and this did nothing regarding the set points, but lost the current temperature value on the Thermostat Card. Today I upgraded the Core to 2024.5.0 and noted that the current temperatures have returned and that the order of the buttons at the bottom of the cards has changed - so someone is working at making changes to the card. But my problem with not having set points available on two of my thermostats still remains.
For the two ZXT-600 devices that were not allowing set points I Removed them from the HA Z-Wave network, did a factory reset and re-paired them. I deleted the dashboard cards, then reset the configuration parameters and created new thermostat cards. One of the cards now showed and allowed set points for heating and cooling but the other did not.
Further searching and comparing of parameters revealed that the two “good” devices showed firmware up to date at revision 1.5, but the third (problem) device showed firmware as “unknown”. This is likely to be my problem. How can I do an OTA update on a Remotec ZXT-600 separately from HA, since HA apparently cannot do it?
With another HA core update installed I tried again doing a Z-Wave re-interview of the errant device and then created a new dashboard card. This time the new card was fully functional, so my problem is now sorted.
Thanks for the update!
