Thermostat Time-to-Temperature

I have my Nest thermostat connected to Home Assistant and I’m wondering why the Time-to-Temperature estimate value is not accessible from Home assistant, I guess it’s not exposed on the API.

Why isn’t it exposed? Is there a reason why google would intentionaly unexpose it and are there other things that could be exposed but aren’t?

Are there other thermostats who have that value estimation done and could expose it to the API?

The thermostat has some smart algorithms to compute that Time-to-Temperature based on outdoor temperature and house thermal properties.

Basically I would like from home assistant to pre-heat the house for a specified time, let’s say 6:00 am. So whether I could change the schedule within the thermostat to program it in advance to pre-heat for 6:00 and it will itself manage to use the Time-to-Temperature to start heating at the best time.

Or I could have the Time-to-Temperature and change the setpoint at the appropriate time to make sure the temperature is reached at 6:00.

Cheers,

I voted for this. For what it’s worth, I’ve done a workaround using a temperature rate-of-change and a template sensor or two.
