Picked up a few ThirdReality sensors that don’t want to jive with my Tuya zigbee gateway – so I picked up the ThirdReality Smart Hub Gen2 Plus. This hub marries up nicely to the end point sensors but I can’t find a way to link the TR smart hub to HA…like the Tuya one can. Is there a way to integrate the smart hub? Am I going about this wrong? Eliminate the hub and go to a zigbee radio of some kind?
Looking for an answer on this as well. I’ve got a bunch of Third Reality devices setup using the Gen2 Plus hub, but cannot get it to connect to HA.
Buy a Zigbee dongle and use either ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT
Seeing that Third Reality is a “Works with Home Assistant” partner threw me off, and I bought the Third Reality Smart Hub Gen2 Plus as well thinking it would integrate into Home Assistant and I could use it as a hub / dongle for connecting Zigbee.
I guess I misunderstood what “Works with Home Assistant” meant, and it doesn’t actually mean that their hardware necessarily works with home assistant, which is very misleading.
I probably should have done more research instead of just buying hardware from a company because they’re a “Works with Home Assistant” partner, which is the only reason I bought a Third Reality hub instead of ordering one from another brand like SONOFF (which, ironically, would have actually worked with Home Assistant).
