This is incredibly annoying

My log keeps filling up with these errors. If I comment out the AVR in the config it just moves on to the directv box. And with HA constantly pinging the devices it is causing them to be sluggish. I know I have read that its just something it does but this is unacceptable… any any to stop it from doing this?

Read the logger component documentation, it tells you how to exclude items based on the error level

also, you maybe able to reduce the logging if you can fix the connection issue. it says your pioneer amp is refusing connections, does it require some form of authentication.
Looking at the pioneer componenet, it looks like they could be on different ports for different model, have you tried changing the port as described
Some Pioneer AVRs use the port 23 default and some are reported to use 8102

I’ve read about lowering the logging, but I’d rather resolve the issue. I’m OCD about things like that.
Now the android app uses 8102, and HA does connect on 8102, just throws a bunch of errors half the time. I’m going to try 23 see what it does. I’ve always had to use 8102 for everything in the past so I honestly never even tried the other one.

That has me thinking, maybe when something else is connecting via that port is when it refuses connections?

Thank you for the suggestions.

Depending on your model of receiver, some pioneers also use the Onkyo configuration

Well apparently my receiver uses both ports.

Now on to a new issue. My porch light automation works fine. Light comes on 30 minutes before sunset, however HA never updates the entity. Here I was at work the other night thinking my automation broke on its own somehow but no, HA just stopped updating when it turns on. Anyone have any ideas about that one?
