I am using several Eve Energy, Eve Switches and Eve Room devices that are Thread capable. I migrated them from my poor HomeKit installation to the HA HomeKit Controller. My HA device is a Raspberry Pi 4 with a SkyConnect stick on it (connected via extension, ZigBee works). I also have 3 HomePod mini in my home. And still I can’t get any of my Thread devices to actually use Thread. All of them use Bluetooth. It works but the delay is long and it’s not a mesh, so I would prefer Thread. I installed the Matter integration but it didn’t help.

have you updated your SkyConnect via Homeassistant Settings-> Hardware?
Generally there is an Update detailing everything here: Matter & Thread: where we’re at - Home Assistant
I must admit though, that I myself did not get it to work. I do see a Thread Boarder Router now in my devices and Integrations, as well as a Thread Integration, but my eve energy does not connect to it. But as the Update from above mentions: this is all beta, so dont worry if it does not yet work.
