Thread integration

Hey together,
i’m running Home Assistant 2023.5.3, Supervisor 2023.04.1, Operating System 10.1 and have my ha installation within the same network as my echo gen 4 (Version: 8960323972) . Since a few weeks amazon enabled the thread border router function on this echo device and i also can see that my home assistant showing this thread network:

But: How do i join or connect those devices? In my understanding, my home assistant should be able to talk to the echo… Am i doing something wrong or is this not possivle (if not, will it be? Does anyone know the status or planned schedule?)?

I would like to buy more thread / matter devices (only having a eve energy device right now) to connect them to my echo, but when there is no way that my home assistant can interact with the echo i will not :/…

Kind regards for any help or status update on this!

I saw this and thought the same thing.

I have seen where many people use Apple Homekit to join their Matter/Thread device (particularly Eve devices) to the Apple Homekit/Thread network, and after that, they use HA’s Matter Integration/Server-Add_on to join that same device to HA. I would think it would be the same way with Amazon Echo.

Probably, but i don’t have any Idea how to do this

I have exactly the same setup and the same problem. Have you solved it?

No, i have not solved it…
I abonded my Echo and bought a skyconnect Stick.
With this Stick and the homekit addon i was able to Connect my Eve Energy with Matter and my nanoleaf a19 bulbs with thread.
Works very good at the moment, probably going to sell my Echo

I’ve been spending a lot of time on google and from what I can tell it looks like Amazon has enabled the Router function but not the bridge functionality at the moment. Quite annoying as I just updated to a Gen 4 Echo for this explicit functionality

Any updates on this? I’m so frustrated that I bought an echo 4 especially for this…
