Time and date set in the future, how to correct?

I have discovered that my Home Assistant instance time and date has somehow jumped ~17 days in the future, around 3 days ago. Some of my automations were running at the wrong times, which is what lead me to investigate. As of this post, my instance says it it 2020-10-20 T09:00.

I am running HA 0.115.6 on VirtualBox VM (which is displaying the correct time and date).

What have I done, and how do I fix it?

Bump.

Still having this problem, tried multiple restarts of the home assistant, virtual machine, and host machine. Again, host machine is showing the correct time.

have you tried changing your time zone to somewhere else, full reboot, and then set it back ? worth the effort, but lmk!
