Time conditions for conditional card / visibility

Request a feature to update the conditional card/visibility tag with the time condition, just like in automations. Including the weekdays option.

Also, please support both entity and entity_id, as it makes no sense to use different ones for automations and conditional cards/visibility.

Cheers!

No need to do this. Create a Schedule helper and then use the value (on off) of the helper as condition in the conditional card. Bonus you get a nice UI to edit the schedule instead of having to edit the dashboard.

So, my dashboard suggest different scènes through the day. So that means that I need over 20 different helpers…

Please read the pinned feature request guidelines. One feature request per post.

People only get a limited number of votes that are released when the feature request is solved or closed. What happens if the developers decide to implement only half of your requests in this topic?

Additionally you could use a ToD sensor:

You just need one helper, only instead of a Schedule helper, you create a template helper instead, and use that in your conditionals. It’s easy to edit too, in the future when you decide to use a different cycle of suggestions or times.

Alternatively just creat an automation and a text helper. Then you can be as flexible as you want in your triggers.

I’ll look into that, thanks. For now I have a template sensor which shows the time in hours and use the above/below numeric state. This looks more streamlined.

Thanks for the tip.
