Timestamp wrong in history data

Hi I have HA installed on a rpi 4 (8GB RAM) at the following version:

  • Core 2025.5.2
  • Supervisor 2025.05.1
  • Operating System 15.2
  • Frontend 20250516.0

I have a basic dashboard helping me monitor the status of the pi with things such as CPU temp, usage, etc.

The problem I have is that the timestamp that is shown in the any of the “more info” graphs is incorrect. It shows an outdated timestamp (11 hr late). I checked my time settings and it’s correctly set (as shown by the clock widget).

  • The first image you can see the current time and the timestamp on the graph.
  • The second image, you can see that the graph is showing current data 11 hr in the past, and nothing for the current time.

Is there something I’m setting up incorrectly? I tried looking for

I just setup System Monitor to test it.
It is working fine at my raspberry pi 5.
How did you install home assistant?
And is it possible a country setting is not correct? I can image that local timestamp is different then?

How did you install home assistant?

I installed it using piimager and selecting the HA img. I don’t recall it asking me to set my country when installing. After installation, I did set the location on the map.

So after giving HA access to the internet, the data has the correct timestamp again.

My guess is that it somehow gets that info from the internet… (?)

Yes, all modern systems do this. They use ntp servers to get the correct time. If you block HA from the internet, you need to set up your own ntp server or modify the time in your system correctly by choosing the proper information in general setup. You may need to set up extra things if you’re using a VM.

I’m currently having incorrect times in my history. I’m running HAOS, on a Home Assistant green. The system time is correct though, which tells me it’s getting ntp just fine
