Since Custom Header is no longer maintained and all features seem not to work in current/future releases, I would like to share a tip with you guys:
if you edit your dashboard and then edit the title by replacing the current text with a space, the header becomes half the size.
So it’s not a replacement for CH but it’s halfway and an easy way, especially if you’re not into modding the UI (yet)
Hi, I just now tried it with a fresh install to be sure it was not something that relies on some other setting/addon/… and it just works.
Yes, just replace whatever text there is with a space and the header gets resized to about half the height.
I just discovered this by trial and error because I thought the header was to big to my taste and wondered if I could remove the title.
First by just erasing it, which didn’t have any effect but by entering a space I found out it got more to what I want.
This didn’t work for me either. Safari. Chrome, or Firefox.
Sorry guys, don’t have an idea why this is so.
I’m doing it with the latest FF but I doubt it has to do with the browser.
Maybe the method I used to install… just a wild guess.
As you see from my signature, I’m using HA 0.115.6 on my main system and the test installed 0.116.4
What versions are you using and which way to setup?
I tried it on a 116.4 install on hassos.
On mobile, the hamburger menu button appears on top of the home button.
Update: I found left margin.
