TMT Chow – Home Assistant integration for TMT Automation / ChowHUB gate controllers (v1.0.3)

Hi everyone,

I’m sharing TMT Chow, an unofficial Home Assistant custom integration for TMT Automation / TMT Chow (ChowHUB) cloud-connected gate controllers.

Features

  • Native Home Assistant cover entity with open, close and stop
  • Live gate state and position
  • Pedestrian / partial opening button on supported controller models
  • Battery monitoring
  • Model-specific controller settings exposed as select and number entities
  • UI setup through Config Flow
  • Cloud-push / MQTT runtime connection
  • Diagnostics support
  • Multiple controllers per account
  • 23 interface translations
  • Support for use in automations, scripts and dashboards

The integration contains model-specific parameter schemas and UART codecs for 217 gate-controller models, derived from the TMT Chow 3.1.4 and gatePRO Smart! 1.0.0 Android app definitions. Before changing a parameter, it reads the current complete parameter frame, modifies only the requested value, sends it once, and verifies the result by reading it back.

What’s new in v1.0.3

  • Added model-gated pedestrian / partial opening using the vendor PED OPEN command
  • Added a dedicated Pedestrian opening button
  • Added exact support for the account PS21050 / live PS21050D controller pair and its 20-value RP,1 / WP,1 parameter format
  • Added mode-aware normal/Hall overcurrent handling for PS21050D
  • Fixed stale stopped DEV STATUS updates that could make a physically closed gate appear open
  • Hardened endpoint tracking so late stale packets cannot reverse a newly confirmed open/closed state
  • Added safe ACK-loss handling: fresh matching telemetry may confirm a command, but movement commands are never automatically resent
  • Extended diagnostics and added regression testing

Hardware validation

  • PS21053 / PS21053C: controller parameter handling and pedestrian opening verified on real hardware
  • PS21050 / PS21050D: controller identity, 20-value parameter frame, state handling and pedestrian capability verified on real hardware

The other mapped controller definitions are APK/XAPK-derived until independently tested on matching hardware. Unknown or API-only models are not assigned guessed parameter schemas or optional capabilities.

Installation with HACS

This repository is currently installed as a HACS Custom Repository.

Or add this repository manually in HACS → Custom repositories:

Select Integration, install TMT Chow, restart Home Assistant, then go to:

Settings → Devices & services → Add integration → TMT Chow

Sign in with your TMT Chow account and select the gate you want to add.

Safety

This is an independent community project and is not an official TMT Automation product.

A gate is a moving physical system. Please use automations responsibly and keep all required photocells, safety inputs, obstacle detection and other physical safety devices enabled, correctly installed and tested.

Feedback, diagnostics from additional controller models, and real-hardware validation reports are welcome.
