It would be amazing to add more features to to-do list items.
Insert links to URLs
Right now if we add a link, it won’t insert the URL automatically even if we put the http:// or https://. It would be amazing if it could be added automatically so we can click on the links without copy/pasting it in the browser.
Add images
Another thing I’d love to see is the option to add images to tasks. In the example below it could be a movie poster but I’m thinking it could be also useful in other scenarios like shopping items, screenshots…
Priority labels
Priority labels would be a great addition to to-do tasks with filters to sort by:
I would like to extend / modify the priority system you suggested. Instead, Local To Do List Items should be able to accept a label from the HA Core Label System. Then you can create whatever priority label modality you wish: 1-5, colors, levels, or hybrids of any of the above. Increase granularity when you need to. Same with assigning a To Do List Item to one or more people to work on. Labels can do this fairly elegantly as far as I can tell, if only labels could target a Local To Do List Item, not just the entire list entity.
Additionally, I would love to see the ability to represent a Local To Do List Item set on a calendar display, but that’s already being discussed elsewhere: Calendars & Todo-List
@notownblues - Just a quick suggestion re submitting feature requests: It might be good to put separate suggestions into separate requests, rather than bundling them. I would definitely vote up one of your requests, but personally don’t care much about the other two.
FYI, my vote would be for the priority labelling of tasks, but even more so if implemented via @fhteagle 's suggestion for allowing arbitrary labelling at the task item level.
