With Total Connect and HA Core 2022.5.5 (this seems to be broken for a long time), it looks like even with the Sensor Activities enabled, and a dedicated user for Home Assistant is used (the user is in the notification group/list)… There is simply no updates going to home assistant.
Am I missing something?
The integration as far as arming and disarming works… and I can see the various entities… just no status updates of the sensors (motion, door, etc…) simply doesn’t work.
I’ve even tried to use an administrator user in Total Connect and it doesn’t report anything. (all the sensor state always remain “closed”)
(note, the gap in time was when I tested uninstalling/removing the TC integration, and then adding it back)… Otherwise… it simply doesn’t report a state change.
Same for doors, and I suspect (though I have not tested) other sensors like Carbon Monoxide, Smoke, Heat, etc…
The integration provides a Binary Sensor for each Total Connect zone. To see faulted zones in Home Assistant, your Total Connect account must have “Sensor Activities” enabled. Your alarm monitoring company may charge an extra fee to enable this. If available, these can be found in the Total Connect 2 web portal at Notifications → Sensor Activities. Alternately, they can be found in the Total Connect mobile app at More → Settings → Notifications → Sensor Activities. Enable each zone you want to monitor. Unmonitored zones will display as Closed in Home Assistant.
So as I said, while Sensor Activities are enabled for each and every zone (for some reason I can’t enable the Motion View Cameras, but I can live with that)… this is not reflected in HA.
