I’ve got three TP Link Kasa light bulbs configured in home assistant, and all work fine when switched on. Two of them are powered off (with a light switch) most of the day, which is generating a lot of warnings in my logs:
Updating tplink light took longer than the scheduled update interval 0:00:05
16:45:06 – (WARNING) Light - message first occurred at 16:42:46 and shows up 29 times
Platform tplink not ready yet. Retrying in 180 seconds.
16:44:45 – (WARNING) Light
Unable to communicate with device 192.168.4.86: Communication error
16:44:45 – (WARNING) TP-Link Kasa Smart
I refreshed the log a few minutes before copying this text - it was showing as being in the log over 11,000 times.
It feels ‘wrong’ to me that my log is going to fill up with tens of thousands of warnings about lights Home Assistant cant talk to - which I wouldn’t expect it to, because they’re switched off.
Is there any way of stopping this being logged? Or do I just need to stop worrying and live with it?
