TP-Link Tapo Smart Light Bulbs L530 loose authentication

This has happened a few times. A few minutes two of my L530 bulbs triggered a need to re-authenticate. The manufacturers app on my phone works fine.

Any idea of what is going on?

Still happening. Why doesn’t Home Assistant remember my credentials and reauthenicate?

Same issue that Wes_s has, My L530 devices and ONLY my L530 devices “expire authentication” after some time and DO NOT reconnect unless I re-set them back up with the needed credentials.

Kasa/Tapo app remains functioning fine.

Whats the fix?! this obviously is something to do with Home Assistant.

I have opened a thread specific to Authentication expired issues. Please report in that thread as we need to collect input to see how isolated/widespread this issue is.

I replaced my router/ap with a Flint 2 running openwrt once I realized my linksys wrt 3200acm was failing. The problem with my L530’s have gone away.

Interesting; I have actually ran into some troubles with my existing wifi too that these devices used but it also “self healed” for other devs so I didnt assume the issue to be connected. But you just gave me something to think on with this situation. Thank you!
