I’m trying to find out how to give IKEA Tradfri bulbs a name. Right now, the name is “TRADFRI bulb E27 opal 1000lm”. How can I rename this?
Give the bulbs another name with the Tradfri iOS or Android app.
They already have names in the Tradfri app. However, these aren’t used for some reason.
Look at friendly names. You can’t change the entity I’d but you can provide a more suitable display name.
After some restarts, HASS now uses the names. Can’t say why it didn’t in the beginning.
