TRÅDFRI signal repeater discontinued - suitable alternative?

Just started my migrating my Hue lights from the Hue hub onto ZHA to join the few other devices I have attached to my ZHA setup and all working fine.

Decided that to improve the stability of the network some addition zigbee routers would be good and found the Ikea TRÅDFRI signal repeater products. Enquired with Ikea on their availability and received an email this morning saying that they have been discontinued. Such a shame as my research indicated that they are (were) pretty good products.

Therefore I’m wondering what a suitable alternative would be, I’m really looking for the equivalent and not necessarily smart plugs that can also work as a router but I’m open to persuasion! :slight_smile:

Happy to consider DIY, e.g. buying a device and flashing it with a different firmware etc.

I’d suggest just getting some of their smart plugs instead.

Whilst the signal repeaters were a good product, they did tie up a power socket (although you could unplug them from their socket and plug them into any USB port…).
