I have a Z-Wave Trane XL624 that works correctly with Homeseer, but in HA the values (from the thermostat card, the developer options state, and from ‘{{ state_attr(’‘climate.touchscreen_comfort_control_thermostat’‘,’‘current_temperature’') in a script) aren’t current. I saw some posts about refreshing, but I went to Z-Wave configuration for the device, and it doesn’t have any options about refresh, and I can’t find a way to manually refresh the data.
Any tips on how I can get the current temperature and set point from this thermostat?
Still looking for some help with this. I know it’s not a config parameter on the Trane, as Homeseer correctly reports the temperature and set point as soon as it’s changed. So, I’m assuming that there is something about the configuration in HA that isn’t quite correct, but I’m not sure what. It could be a polling issue from the HA side, but I can’t figure out how to force a poll of the device. This is one of two issues that is preventing me from moving from Homeseer to HA, so I’m hoping someone can help.
Just in case anyone else runs into this, the fix is really quite simple (much thanks to mterry63). Just go to the Z-Wave JS UI web page, expand the node of the thermostat, then select groups, then add, then select the root endpoint, then group 1, then the z-wave controller, and bob’s your uncle!
