Trane XL624 was working and no longer

I am unsure what happened here, just seeking to see if anyone has this same thermostat and it works for them. I transitioned from OZW to ZWaveJS in Feb. and it worked with my 2 thermostats. However, not sure how it happened or when but my thermostats stopped working through home assistant. They work inside ZWaveJS2MQTT server, but not inside Home Assistant.

I was going to open a github issue since I remember it worked before. However, I tried to regress my Home Assistant Core instance to find which version still worked, and I didn’t find any version working. I am currently on the latest (2021.2.3) and went as far back as 2021.2.0 (when ZWaveJS was introduced.

My actual climate entity looks like this as unavailable.

Yet through the WebUI for ZwaveJS2MQTT I am still able to control the thermostat by sending mode commands and changes in temp. I initially added a ticket to ZwaveJS2MQTT and they punted it to being a Home Assistant issue not ZWaveJS issue.

You need to upgrade to 2021.3.0.

Yes i actually just discovered myself this! I was reading the ZWaveJS Home Assistant release notes and didn’t find anything to do with climate entities or at least specifically with my issue, so didn’t think it was being looked out, but i’m pleasantly surprised it is now fixed!

Btw do you know if it is a bug that the auto mode doesn’t show a range in HomeKit using home assistant?

HI. I am also experiencing issues with the XL624 (XR624?) running ZwaveJStoMQTT. In the node list the Manufacturer ID, and ProductID are undefined no matter how many times I reset and reinterview the node. It worked before on OZW. Any ideas?

Hey it got fixed for me when I updated. I don’t have that thermostat anymore.
