Hi All, I want to transfer from a python virtual env installation to hassos on to a new 8gb pi4. I have read around here for a while looking for pointers, but what I want to know is, if there is an easy way to do this? I already have HassOS running on the new pi, with Ethernet etc, and i Have tentatively started transferring my .yaml files across to see what it may object to. I obviously haven’t change the IP add to the current Home Assistant machine yet.
The current pi is a 2GB pi3, and no, this isn’t enough ram! I have had to add a larger swap on to the ssd on which I have the databases sitting on. I’m currently using zwave, zigbee, mqtt, gpio, denon, samsung, alexa, MariaDB and tuya devices. The Tuya integration I haven’t found yet.
Is there anything I should look out for? Will it be just as well to back up the old machine then transfer everything across in one go and rename both machines, i.e. just go for it?
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
