Trouble installing home assistant green

Dear community,

Recently I received my home assistant green device. I read the instructions manual Ann’s started with the installation, but unfortunately I am unable to start up the device.

As a note I would add that home assistant is new to my.

Based on the instruction I did the following tasks:

  1. Attached a Ethernet cable to the device directly from my router
  2. Plugged in the power cable
  3. I saw the device started working, based on 3 LED lights (green, orange, yellow)
  4. I installed the home assistant mobile app on my iPhone device (iOS 18 up to date)
  5. After launching the app the device was found
  6. A message is displayed explaining that the installation takes around 20 minutes, so this sounds good
  7. After 20 minutes I relaunched the app, but now the device was not found
  8. I manually inserted the device by first:
    8.1 the FQDN (based on documentation homeassistant.local) on port 8123 (i believe it was this port, I don’t have the doc in front of me now)
    8.2 the internal IP address in my network
  9. For both (8.1 and 8.2) an error was shown unable to connect to the device
  10. Based on documentation I found online I tried a system reset
    10.1 shutdown the device by holding down the power button (I believe it is called power button) for around 6 seconds. The device did shutdown
    10.2 Remove the power cable
    10.3 Hold down the power button and plug-in the power button
    10.3 After a second of 10 I believe, the device LED light (I believe the orange/yellow) should blink in a pattern. That was not my case nothing happened
    10.4 I re-tried the reset again, but holding the button for more than a minute and still nothing is happening

So that is my current situation. I have a home assistant green device which seems like it is not working correctly (it can shutdown based on instructions, so it is not completely doing nothing). I see a HDMI interface, so I will try to attach a monitor to it, seems like if I can find some diagnostics visually. But my first impression about home assistant is not too good.

In the iOS app I can download a log, but did not found any useful information in it.

Hopefully this is a common issue, which can be resolved easily. Keep in mind I am new to home assistant, so please keep the context as simple as possible. Please explain abbreviations.
