Trouble pairing Zemismart Tuya Zigbee Roller Blind Motor with Home Assistant

I have just purchased the “Zemismart Tuya Zigbee Roller Blind Motor” and I have been trying to connect it to home assistant via Zigbee2MQTT but I’ve had no success.

It comes with a dongle which I’m not sure if I need or not.

The dongle itself connects to home assistant easily but the blind doesn’t connect nor can I seem to control the blind with the dongle…

Has anyone been able to get it working?

Thanks in advance.

When I look at the product it seems to communicate over zigbee. Then you need a receiver/transmitter that also speaks zigbee. (zigbee coordinator)

It seems that the supplied stick is a zigbee coordinator.

But depending on whether you use zigbee2mqtt or ZHA (natvie home assistant zigbee component ), you need a stick that is supported by one of the two (zigbee2mqtt or ZHA)

You must first have a working zigbee coordinator in zigbee2mqtt or ZHA before you can add the “Zemismart Tuya Zigbee Roller Blind Motor”.

and the next hurdle is the question if this Blind motor is supported by zigbee2mqtt or ZHA

For ZHA I couldn’t find a list of supported devices right away
