Troubles using conversation agent and MIC from my laptop

Heya Everyone! Greetings!

I recently got my HASSOS up running on my RPi5 4GB/64GB. I’ve been following few tutorials on YT to help me setup the ESPHome.
I added the following add-ons:

  1. Piper
  2. Whisper
  3. Openwakeword

My problem:

  • The conversation agent doesn’t seem to understand anything I type. Is it because I do not have any devices configured?

*I’m accessing the HA from my web browser and I see this red line crossed on the lock icon (way of telling me that connection is not secured) and I assume, that is why I’m not able to use my MIC from my laptop either. So how do I solve this?
