Troubleshooting cascading failures

It started with a couple of my Zigbee devices showing “unavailable.” I restarted HA. Next the HA web page stopped responding. Now nothing in the Config directory is updated, no log entries there, and I can’t even SSH in any more. I still have the config directory as a share in Windows, and I can still run the configurator from within a browser.

I’m wondering if there’s any way to access a log of what’s going on, short of connecting up a keyboard and monitor.

if you still have access to the config directory you can still access the real homeassistant.log file.

That one is better anyway than the trimmed down log in the frontend.

The homeassistant.log file wasn’t getting updated.

It all started working again when I moved the Raspberry Pi to where I had a monitor and keyboard set up. Previous reboots and even powering off hadn’t worked. No clue what happened.
