I’ve just upgraded my thermostat with an eph gateaway. I’ve got it working on the ember app on phone and ipad.
as per EPH Controls - Home Assistant i’ve put in my configuation.yaml:
Did you get anywhere with this @wilflet ?
I’m thinking of getting either an EPC CP4 (basic non-connected controls) or EPC CP4i (which hints it works with HA) but no point spending the extra if I can’t monitor anything in HA?
I searched around some other threads at the time and if memory serves it seems eph massively changed the way the app/cloud back end shortly before I got mine meaning the bit HA used to interact with no longer existed.
I’m hoping at some point someone will make a new integration that works again, but I havnt checked recently as for obviously reasons havnt thought much about heating since the winter.
I’m on tour at the moment so not back home for a few more weeks, it’s something I should probably look into again when I get back
Thanks Will. The Hive API keeps changing too, if it’s any consolation. I really appreciate that there are people in this community who go the extra mile to keep on top of the moving goalposts with little support from the manufacturers!
I have a similar issue, i have used the ephember climote integration around a year now but it suddenly stopped working this morning. Home assistant logs just says “Cannot connect to EphEmber”. The Ember app itself is working fine, but the app asked me for 2fa authentication for the first time today. So maybe that’s another issue that came up here? Anyway, I am disappointed that it’s not working anymore.
that’s interesting - that sounds like you made it work shortly after I had been told it dosnt work any more and gave up.
Can you share what you have in your configuration?
I’ll see if I can replicate it in my set up and see whether it works or wether I get the new error you have too once I’m back from tour.
Does anyone know if this is ever going to work? I have the EPH Ember Thermostat on a new heat pump that was installed in November. But I just get 350 is not a valid zone name, as an error, and it never completes setup.
