Trying to add Blueprints via a link gives me an error message: This site can’t be reached

When I try to add a Blueprint via a link I get this message:

This site can’t be reached
homeassistant.local’s DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem.
DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE

I am using Home Assistant Green. I am a complete novice so any assistance would help.

It has worked in the past?
I cannot connect using: http://homeassistant.local:8123/lovelace/0
I have to use: http://192.168.8.126:8123/lovelace/0

If I ping homeassistant.local I get:
ping: cannot resolve homeassistant.local: Unknown host
bash-3.2$

Thanks Martin

Go to https://my.home-assistant.io/ and make sure it has the correct IP for your HA Green.

sorry but when I click on that it tried to connect using http://homeassistant.local:8123/

which doesn’t work. I can only connect using the IP address.
when Iupdate the IP address it does work thanks!

Is there a way so I can use http://homeassistant.local:8123/. Can I change this in a setting?

Sorry I am really new to this there is so much to learn!

Thanks
Martin

The link I provided should lead to a page like the following, with an pencil-shaped edit button that will allow you to change the address that is currently set to whatever address you need to use:

Thanks but it does not work. I pasted in http://homeassistant.local:8123

But when I use it, I still get:
This site can’t be reached
homeassistant.local’s DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem.
DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE

Why would you paste in an address that you can’t connect to? Use the address that actually works.

Sorry I thought the link would allow me to change the address to the default.

My bad

I still do not understand why http://homeassistant.local:8123 has suddenly stopped working and I have to now use an IP address?

But thank you you have now sorted the Blueprint import issue, I can now bring those in!

Thanks! for your time.

Martin
